Today, Chris and I took Noah and Kyle to Kings Island. Are we insane, you ask? Perhaps. Yes, we took our toddler and our 5 week old baby to an amusement park. It was a truly gorgeous day weather wise and we just had to get out of the house and do something fun with Noah. And, since living here in good 'ol Cincinnati, we haven't been to the infamous Kings Island, and we live about ten minutes away.
It was definitely challenging to bring the both of them, especially since Kyle did his fair share of being not quite content, but all in all it went really well. I think Kyle felt like a big kid, especially when he got to lay in the stroller sans pumpkin seat and wave his little legs around in the fresh air.
Upon arriving at KI, we headed for the kiddie section which is basically an area devoted to younger kids' rides with a Nickelodeon/Noggin theme. Noah and I rode a carousel with some of his favorite characters faces plastered all over the outside of the thing. Here's Noah and Mommy waving at Daddy

This is Noah's first EVER roller coaster!!! We're the 3rd car back. If you click on the pic I think you can see a bigger image. Anyway, this was the "Little Bill" rollercoaster, and let me tell you, it's not as baby-baby as you might think. Since Noah was between 36 and 40 inches tall, he had to be accompanied by a parent (me). I was afraid to look at his face after it was over, thinking he was going to be in meltdown mode. Not the case. He couldn't wait to run to Daddy and tell him about it. I said to him, "this is your first rollercoaster ever!!" He said to me, "can I have my *next* rollercoaster?!" He was super jazzed about this ride!!

He loved all the characters. He got to shake Scooby's hand here.
We didn't get a pic of this, but we saw Sponge Bob walking toward a building accompanied by a worker. Apparently, Sponge Bob needed a break. Noah doesn't know who Sponge Bob is, but he really wanted to get to go say hi. Later tonight during Noah's bath, he was telling me about all the different characters he had seen. He said, "the cheese had a break!" Apparently Sponge Bob looks like a great big walking cheese! When I told Chris later, we laughed so hard we cried. =)
