My mom and I recently took the boys in to get their first official photo session together. I love the way they turned out!

Happy Birthday, Kyle!!

Tomorrow, July 7, is Kyle's 1st Birthday! I can't believe my BABY is turning 1. This year has gone by so fast, it's almost a blur. It's true when people say your second child's babyhood whizzes by even faster than the first.

I'm having a lot of mixed emotions about Kyle turning one. My baby isn't going to be a baby for much longer, and Kyle makes an EXCEPTIONAL baby. He always has. He is very sweet and cuddly, and has a very easy going personality. It's hard to imagine our family without Kyle--he is the piece we needed!

For a few weeks now, he's been taking steps here and there. And in the last couple of days, he is really determined to walk full time. It's almost like he knows he's turning 1, so he wants to make it count.

This Saturday we're having a little party for him--and his Gigi (my mom) will be arriving in Cincinnati on Thursday. I'll make sure to take plenty of cake diving pictures and get them posted.

It Really Has Been A Long Time

I just uploaded pics from my camera to the computer--and they went back I think as far as January.

I saw the age progression of the boys just as I was editing each little section of pictures. It's really amazing how fast they're growing. Kyle's hair must've grown about two inches! I forget that those of you that we don't see that often don't even know what they look like these days.

Is this a cute view from behind or what?!?

When Kyle started standing a lot, we pulled out Noah's old music play table:

They had just started playing together more around this time:

Noah is currently taking a swimming class and a tap class. I really, really need to get pictures of that--it's really cute!

That's it for the moment. Check back often for more updates. I'm going to be posting pics a lot now that they're off the camera and on to the computer.
Happy 4th of July everyone!! =)

Adding...

...the remainder of what was uploaded already on the computer. Gosh, this picture must be 2 months old!

I've got a lot of other pics still on the memory card that I'll be uploading in the next few days.

So since I last blogged, so much has happened:

  • Noah finished his year of preschool (Mom's Day Out)
  • Kyle has started walking--he's still crawling about half the time though
  • Kyle is getting ready to turn 1 on July 7!
  • Brian and Linda moved from Detroit to Boston (they left Detroit TODAY!) where Brian will be doing a residency program at Tufts Medical Center.

That's most of it in a nutshell. I'm sure there's lots of finer details, but they all escape me at the moment! Mostly it's just been lots of busy/fun/chaos!

Utter Loser??

I finally decided to check out my own blog to find that I haven't updated in over THREE MONTHS. That's decades in Baby Land. I've taken a ton of pics, of course uploading next to none on the computer in the last few months.

This is so the wrong time of year to post these pics too, and in the wrong order. I feel like I'm getting used to Blogger all over again.

But I had to post these--they're from JANUARY when Brian and Linda came to visit for a few days. Just go from the bottom up and you'll get the gist of it a little better. I have to say though, isn't this the most perfect snow angel EVER??

I'm vowing to annoy everyone with multiple entries back to back, just so I can catch up. So much has happened and the boys have just grown so much (kids will do that).
Hope this finds all of you well!

The Best Brothers in the World!

Several weeks ago, Chris stuck Noah in the bean bag, and then stuck Kyle on top of him. Kyle LOVES his brother, and was so happy to be sitting with NOAH! He thought he was BIG! Chris was making them laugh while I took pictures.

A very squirmy Kyle on a very tolerant Noah

I can't believe how fast both Noah and Kyle are growing and changing. Since these pics were taken, we've taken more that I need to upload.
Noah has always been nice to Kyle, but never hugely interested in him. He'll sometimes be silly though and dance around making Kyle laugh his head off--but still I've been waiting for more.
It came last week. Kyle is a professional crawler now and is all over the place. He's also pulling himself up to a stand on the couch, in the crib, and on the old music table toy we used for Noah. I think he suddenly seems more interesting to Noah. Kyle also says, "Da da! Mom Mom! and Na Na!" He also calls himself "Gky Gky!" Since we explained to Noah that the "Na Na" means Noah, things have really changed. I think he feels like a celebrity. We really do think "Na Na" means Noah--he'll call for Noah and when Noah comes, he smiles and laughs. Kyle adores Noah. So all of a sudden, Noah is giving him unsolicited kisses and hugs, telling him why I'm taking a while to get to him, "it's okay Kyle, mom is getting your food for you!" He calls him, "Little Baby" lately in a sweet little tone. He includes him. He doesn't want Kyle to go to bed.
We're THRILLED. THIS is why we had another (besides the fact that we wanted another!). But to see these two already interracting and really, playing together is the reason we wanted kiddos! I told Chris, nothing in the world makes me happier than seeing our two boys smiling and laughing together. Nothing! I would have never imagined that only a few short years ago. There's just nothing better.
